We are always on the hunt for great new products, and are thrilled about several we've found! And, apparently, The Boston Globe is, too!
Yesterday's Food section featured two of our best-sellers: we are so proud we were among the first to carry Stoney Brook's Squash Seed Oils from the Finger Lakes, including yummy varieties like Butternut and Delicata.
One of our all-time favorite wines made the "Plonk" (high-value wines under $12) column. Haut Marin "Cuvee Marine" Cotes de Gascogne is a bright, brisk, light wine sure to please.

General Store manager Adam Horowitz says it’s an offer he can’t refuse that will take him away from the General Store in the next week, and it was the serendipitous availability of Doug Coots and Amy Bernhardt that made it possible for him to accept that offer.

The General is back. And on July 4, as a crowd gathered on Mass Ave. for
Harvard’s Independence Day parade, he was commanding a whole lot of
attention. Queues at the two registers ran 10 deep.

Adam Horowitz stands in the middle of a gleaming wood floor, while
butter-colored beadboard walls reflect the light streaming through
six-foot-high windows. With a wave of his hand, he conjures a world of
treats, necessities, and local comestibles. The General Store, which
Horowitz owns with his wife Lyn Hammershaimb Horowitz, is on the
comeback trail. The grand opening may come as soon as April.
