My daughter and I stopped in after hearing high praise of your store from a friend. As we browsed Candi said to me "Are we still in Massachusetts?" Your store is fun, interesting, and full of everything I like. The two guys behind the counter were helpful with just the right amount of friendliness. It will be worth the drive from Princeton, where I live. Also, we loved the dog. Thank you for bringing such a great store to the area.

The General is back. And on July 4, as a crowd gathered on Mass Ave. for Harvard’s Independence Day parade, he was commanding a whole lot of attention. Queues at the two registers ran 10 deep.

General Store manager Adam Horowitz says it’s an offer he can’t refuse that will take him away from the General Store in the next week, and it was the serendipitous availability of Doug Coots and Amy Bernhardt that made it possible for him to accept that offer.
