Little Women at Harvard General Store
In the fall of 2018, the historic Harvard General Store and Harvard Town Common were transformed for the filming of Greta Gerwig’s adaptation of Little Women. With the story filmed entirely in Massachusetts for authenticity, Harvard and many nearby sites played a special role. Our beautiful second floor event space was the set for the dress shop scenes in which Meg purchases fine fabric for a special dress. In the park between the General Store and the neighboring Harvard Congregational Church, several building facades were erected to create the set for downtown Concord. Other notable nearby locations include Fruitlands Museum in Harvard and Gibbet Hill in Groton. Enjoy this gallery of images from the set, courtesy of Sony Pictures, and explore the links below to learn more.
